The Australian Road Train Association offers for sale copies of the limited edition book, Stories from the Road – The challenges and achievements of Australia’s road transport heroes. Compiled by the Road Transport Historical Society, “Stories from the Road" is a unique and entertaining insight into the characters in the road transport industry who made such an important contribution to making Australia the wonderful country it is today. Many are women, most are larger than life, and they all have a fascinating tale to tell. ARTA’s own John Morris sat on the advisory panel for the book, and it includes profiles on such characters as ARTA’s very own former president, Bill Baskett and valued ARTA member Buddo Grant. $49.95 includes the limited edition hard cover book, as well as a special DVD.
